Personal Style Should
Feel Like You
At Color Lab STL, I believe understanding your colors and personal style should give you more freedom to express yourself — not another set of rules to follow. I created Color Lab STL to bring together my love for color, creativity, fashion, and thoughtful details with something I care even more about: helping people feel good about themselves. Because when you understand what complements you and trust your own sense of style, getting dressed becomes less about who you think you’re supposed to be — and more about having fun with who you already are.
It Started in a Closet
Before Color Lab STL existed, I was working alongside my grandmother, Charlotte, at CHAR & CO. Professional Organizing. Through our work in clients’ homes and wardrobes, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be to let go of clothing when you’re not quite sure what works for you anymore.
Then one client changed everything.
While helping her clear out a large portion of her wardrobe, I asked what had inspired the change. Her answer was simple: she had recently had her colors analyzed.
The idea stuck. I’d always been drawn to fashion, art, interiors, beauty, and color, and my grandma encouraged me to explore color analysis more seriously. Suddenly, it felt like a natural extension of the work we were already doing — helping clients not only simplify their wardrobes, but better understand what they actually wanted to fill them with.
And Color Lab STL began taking shape.
Hi, I’m Madyson
I’m creative by nature and extremely detail-oriented. I’ve always noticed the things other people might miss — an unexpected color combination, the perfect finishing touch, or the small detail that makes an entire space or outfit come together.
My background in professional organizing, interior design and art studies, and professional color analysis has shaped an approach to style that is both creative and open-minded. Working closely with clients in different seasons of life has also taught me that there is no single definition of good style.
I’ve completed two professional color analysis certifications and continue my education through ongoing study and mentorship with Paige, The Color Girl. My goal is to make color analysis easy to understand and genuinely fun — more like sitting down with a friend who happens to know a lot about color and style than being told what you should or shouldn’t wear.

St. Louis born and raised — and a devoted Blues and Cardinals fan.
Happiest with a concert, sporting event, dinner with friends, or trip on the calendar.
I find inspiration in interiors, art, travel, different eras, and the little details most people walk right past.
An enthusiastic shopper who will happily dress for the occasion.
Usually the friend thinking of the extra detail that will make something more fun or memorable.
I make a chocolate chip cookie that apparently deserves its own mention here.
Your Season Is a Starting Point, Not a Rulebook
I love color theory, but I don’t believe finding your season means putting yourself in a box.
Trends can be fun. Your style can change. You can experiment, borrow inspiration from completely different aesthetics, and dress differently from one day to the next. Personal style is allowed to evolve as you do.
Color analysis simply gives you another tool for understanding yourself — what complements you, why it works, and how you want to use that information in your own way.
There are no fashion rules at Color Lab STL more important than feeling like yourself.
Come As You Are
You don’t need to know your aesthetic or have a perfectly curated wardrobe. Come curious.
I’ll help you understand your colors, explore your style, and discover new ways to express yourself without losing yourself to a rulebook along the way. If you leave feeling inspired, understood, and a little more like yourself, I’ve done my job.
